Rental Requirements and General Qualifications

PICK UP INSTRUCTIONS

Local Customers:
go directly to ABC Parking at 901 North Ave East. Elizabeth NJ 07201. Receive your keys to your rental and start your trip.

Flying Customers:
Proceed to baggage claim and pick up your luggage
Call for a shuttle from ABC Parking at 908-354-3444
Give the claim number for your rental to the ABC parking agent
Follow their instructions on where to wait for the shuttle at your terminal.

Receive your keys to your rental and start your trip
ABC PARKING agents will not be able to answer any questions about the rental so contact us with any questions about the rental

If your arrival is scheduled after 5 pm, please call a representative at (973)361 3044 between 9 am to 5 pm to assist you.

See the attendant for a NEW claim number

Take the shuttle to head to your terminal for your flight

VERY IMPORTANT

You must call Rent-A-Wreck before boarding your flight with the information requested to avoid additional rental charges. Your phone call to us with the information requested is our way to know when you returned the rental.

The rental must be returned free of garbage to avoid a cleaning fee ($25-350 fee applies)

Additional driver fee is $10.00 per driver per day.

All after hour returns are billed to the next business day.

You must have full coverage insurance in our Newark office

Customers can go up and down the East Coast from Florida to Maine.

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, checks, and cash. There is a deposit of $350 for renters with a major credit card & $500 with a debit card. Cash customers must have a New Jersey driver's license, proof of insurance, 2 utility bills that match the address on their license, and a social security card. Debit card customers need one proof of address such as a utility bill matching the address on their driver's license.

The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of gas it was rented with or the renter is billed $6.50 per unit.

Renters ages 18-24 are welcome depending on qualification. Valid driver's license and credit card are required at time of pick up for renters 25 and older. Renters ages 18-24 must show proof of insurance on own vehicle, or a declaration page if they are on their parent's policy. Proof of insurance required for all ages.
Please note: Prepaid reservations require that the same card be presented at the time of rental as was used to book the prepaid reservation, and the name of the person making the reservation must be the same as the renter of the vehicle.
